Developing a squeeze page process is pretty straightforward. In this excerpt from my presentation “Better List Building Through Effective Squeeze Page Use,” I talk about the four steps in the squeeze page process and some tips for making each step more effective.
The four steps in the squeeze page process are:
- The squeeze page
- The thank you page
- The confirmation email
- The download page
To make the process more effective, I suggested the following:
- Have a benefits-driven headline on the squeeze page
- Include a description of the gift; including an image of its virtual packaging is also helpful
- Have two opt-in forms on your squeeze page: one at the top and one at the bottom
- Provide download instructions on your download page to help people acquire and consume your opt-in bonus
- Add a surprise bonus to foster good will
