Having a business mindset is knowing that the purpose of business is to make money! Yes, I know that many people in the softer, “helping” fields … like coaches … sometimes feel uncomfortable with that fact. I know I’ve battled my demons in that area.
That’s why this month, my posts are going to focus on the business mindset. I hope that the information and tips I share will be helpful.
Remember, having the right mindset for your business will require you to think for yourself. Think of your business as a growing entity, so you will have to constantly think of the long term.
Ask yourself this: How do you connect with your profitability?
You connect with your profitability by knowing your profit margin, cash flow, competitive advantage, sales goals, and your key profit indicators. Track everything you can in your business.
And it doesn’t have to be hard … there are even online tracking tools you can use.
ACTION STEP:
Take a moment to set your profit goals for the New Year. Write an upbeat story about your cash flow. Start thinking in glowing terms about your business profits and write it down.
