In this first of two excerpts of the July 18, 2014 episode of The C.A.P. Podcast, I chat with Diedra Miller about two things you can do to more effectively engage your prospects and clients using email marketing.
The first tip Diedra shared was to regularly communicate with your contacts. We discussed how important it is to use an email marketing software — not your regular email — to do this, not only because it makes it easier to manage, but also to remain CAN-SPAM law compliant.
Diedra also shared three tips for encouraging your readers to want to be in contact with you:
- Be consistent and keep your promises
- Be respectful and tailor your emails to what your readers want and need
- Be responsive — get involved in conversations on your blog, in social media and more
And finally, over-deliver when you can.
