Laughter is good medicine,
so notice the funny all around you everyday.
There is a lot of research that proves laughter is good for your health. It triggers the release of endorphins — the “feel good” hormones — which promote a sense of well-being and can relieve pain. In addition, laughing reduces stress hormones and increases immune response. So, overall, pumping up the laughter in your life is a good thing!
Today’s Journal Exercise:
Today, keep an eye out for funny things. They can be experiences, things you’ve heard, things you’ve seen — just as long as they make you chuckle, giggle, laugh, gaffaw or even chortle. Keep track of them in your journal. Your goal is to notice at least three funny things.
At the end of the day, journal about those funny things. Why did they make you laugh? How did it feel to laugh? Were you alone? Were you able to share the humor with someone else? How did being along or with someone enhance or alter the experience?
Daily Challenge:Find at least one funny thing to share with us in the Facebook group and be sure to include the #CelebrateYou hashtag. It can be a pic or an anecdote … just share the fun and we’ll all laugh together!
