Use white space to make your website more readable

In this excerpt of my “The 5 Deadly Mistakes of Home Page Design” presentation, I explain what the fifth deadly mistake is:

Although are lots of ways that you can tank with web copy, the one I focus on in this video is view-ability. Online, when too much text is clumped together, people won’t read it.

Ways to you can have plenty of white space on your page include:

* Break up your paragraphs more often. Keep them to no more than 5 sentences long.
* Use bullet points.
* Use headers and sub-headers.
