Well, this metaphor and what Mary Kay says above are sending the same message: You are the one who gives the events in your life a positive or negative spin. There are silver linings to everything, if you are willing to look.

And yes, some things in life can really suck. Losing my little sister last year was far from fun. Being attacked by my boyfriend in March was far from fun. Lots of things in life just plain aren’t fun. But I am able to find silver linings anyway. And you can, too.

When faced with obstacles, challenges … the lemons of life … find a way to squeeze out some benefit or lesson from the experience. Life may not always be fun, but it is all good.
