Online Branding Video Book Tour: Stop #8, Secret #19

secret # 19

On the eighth stop of my virtual video book tour, I shared Secret #19: Use blog categories strategically.

“To reduce confusion and to clarify the overall theme of your blog, you should select no more than a dozen categories into which all your posts will fit.”

When you treat your categories as if they were a table of contents for your blog, you make your blog easier to navigate and attractive to readers who want to know more about your topic. In addition, you will find it easier to write new posts.

From now through December 31, 2013, I will be donating $2 of every book purchased and registered at to the Unstoppable Foundation. My goal is to raise $8,500 to build a schoolhouse in Kenya, where I grew up and my little sister was born.

To reach that goal and spread the word, I will be doing book readings and workshops throughout Los Angeles and Orange counties, as well as stopping by blogs, podcasts, teleseminars and more.
