Your mind is the most powerful resource you have. With it, you can create your reality, affect the elements around you and make plants quiver with fear. In this first of four excerpts from a speech about mastering your mindset, I share the research of Dr. Masaru Emoto. Dr. Emoto found that words and thoughts can change the shape of water crystals.

In 1994, Dr. Emoto and his research team began to photograph water crystals. At first, he compared water crystals from various sources: tap water, river water, lake water, etc. He found that the source of the water affected the shape of the crystals.

And then he got the idea to see if words, music, pictures, and prayer could affect the water enough to change the crystal shapes that formed. What he found was quite astonishing.

When words and intentions were negative, such as “evil,” “you disgust me” and “you fool” were aimed at the water, the crystals that formed were disorganized, possibly even ugly.

However, when words such as “eternal,” “thank you” and “truth” were aimed at the water, beautiful and complex snowflake-like crystals formed.

If words can have that effect on water crystals, what effect do you think they are having on you and your body … since you are made up mostly of water!
