There are several ways you can use audio to promote your business. Some of them I’ve already covered in earlier posts this month, such as:

But as each of these strategies can be excellent tools for promoting your business, they won’t be that effective if they aren’t an integral part of your overall marketing strategy … not just an audio marketing strategy.

Your use of audio in promoting your business needs to work in concert with all the other ways you are promoting your business.

For example, let’s say that you have created an advertising campaign that points people to an 800 number where you’ve posted a recorded message. The copy in your advertising needs to be consistent with the words in your audio message. If not, the disconnect with break your campaign .. lowering conversions … possibly even drastically.

Another example, let’s say you are hosting a pre-call teleseminar to encourage people to sign up for you upcoming event. Your teleseminar needs to be consistent with the information provided during the event, as well as any and all the marketing pieces you’ve used to promote the event, from your website to flyers to direct mail postcards.

Audio can increase traffic to your website, increase opt-in and sales conversions and even get you noticed. But like all other marketing tools, it needs to be used strategically so that it can be the most effective in promoting your business.

Do you struggle to move forward in your business because of niggling little questions that you just can’t find the answers for? Do you wish you could hire a coach to help you through specific challenges without the commitment to a long-term program? Do you need help developing a strategic plan you can actually implement? I offer a la carte sessions, as well as flexible and structured coaching packages.
