Do everything from a place of love and abundance.

“You will find as you look back upon your life that the moments when you have truly lived are the moments when you have done things in the spirit of love.”
~ Henry Drummond

What this quote means to women entrepreneurs:
It is easy to understand the concept of acting from the spirit of love in our familial, friendship and romantic relationships, however many people don’t know how to apply this way of being in their careers and businesses. But it does work on many levels.

“Do what you love and the money will follow.”
~ Marsha Sinetar

This is very common advice and one of the reasons why it works is that when you love what you do, you are motivated to continue doing it and to do it well. This leads to both consistency and quality in your work and business. Consistency shows your following that you have integrity and are trust worthy. Quality, of course, is what we all look for in who we work with and what we buy.

Love your customers
When you communicate with your customers from a spirit of love … whether you’re telling them something they want to hear or not … you will achieve better outcomes. This means that you provide excellent customer service, but you also maintain your boundaries and not let people walk all over you just because they are a customer. The phrase “the customer is always right” is not always true.

Love your team
Always treat your staff, contractors and vendors with loving professionalism. These are the people that help you from becoming a head with its chicken cut off and often make your business possible. Therefore, it is important to treat them well and with respect. Again, always come to the table from the spirit of love.

Love yourself
Just because the buck stops with you does not mean you can be nice to everyone else and then go and beat yourself up. Be gentle and kind with yourself, just as you would with family, friends, customers and your team, when things go wrong and you make mistakes. You are human and errors will happen.

I once heard that doing any task from a space of love, whether it is writing a blog post or cleaning the toilet, is a form of prayer. When you approach everything in your life from a space of love, you will find that your life and business will be more efficient, effective and peaceful.
