Online Branding Video Book Tour: Stop #1, Secret #2
You’ve heard of author book tours and you probably have heard of virtual book tours … but have you heard of a video book tour? Probably not because I just made that up. To promote my new book 57 Secrets for Branding Yourself Online, I’m shooting a series of book readings at different locations. Today, I’m sharing the first location…my living room!
On the first stop of my virtual video book tour, I shared Secret #2: Be consistent across the web.
“Once you choose the look and feel for your brand, consistently use it everywhere.”
Being consistent across the web is an important online branding strategy because you want to build that “I’ve seen you before” feeling. You want to be recognizable no matter where someone finds you online. When you are consistent across the web, you build brand recognition.
Ways you can build your online brand include:
- Use the same headshot on all your profiles
- Write a main bio and use it everywhere
- Use the same colors and fonts
