If you want to have money in your life, grow and blossom in your life, then you need to attend to it just as you would a plant in your garden. You need to take certain actions that will encourage it to flourish in your life and business.
In today’s post, I’m going to cover three empowering actions you can take with money starting today. Will these actions make you money overnight? Of course not, but they will set the stage for increasing abundance.
1. Keep track of your money – Daily
Track what comes in and what goes out. Do this daily and then review it monthly to see what changes you can make to improve your situation. When you do this, you become much more mindful of your money and how it is flowing through your life and bank accounts.
2. Review bills for accuracy – Monthly
This can be very important. Many years ago, someone tapped into my phone and started making calls to Nigeria. If I had been on top of it more at the time, I would have noticed the “test calls” they made before I received a phone bill for over $1,000. Everything worked out and I didn’t have to pay that, but boy did it make my heart skip a beat — and that could have been prevented.
3. Review your expenses and eliminate any that no longer serve you – Quarterly
Sometimes, we get so used to paying monthly fees we don’t evaluate whether they are necessary any more or not. By evaluating your expenses every three months, you can save yourself a lot of money on those monthly items you can now release. By taking this action, I’ve saved an annual fee for a service I wasn’t using, and another time was able to negotiate a lower monthly bill with a vendor.
Taking regular, consistent actions with your finances can lower your expenses, increase your income and give you a sense of mastery over your money. Money loves attention and rewards it, so start taking empowering financial actions today.
