Breathing calmly and deeply is good for the mind, body and soul. It helps release toxins. It relieves tension. It relaxes the mind. It can relieve pain. It can strengthen the immune system. It can improve food digestion. And so much more.
Today’s Journal Exercise:
Find a comfortable place to sit quietly and breath calmly and deeply for two minutes. Count to five as you breath in, using your diaphragm to pull the air into your lungs. Hold for a count of three. Then slowly breath out for a count of five. Keep doing this until your three minutes are done. How do you feel? Journal about your deep breathing experience.
