Yesterday, I celebrated my last-minute kitchen creativity.

I purchased this cookie mix, along with some others, last month, knowing that I had some pot lucks coming up. Last night was a Pet Parents Toastmasters Open House and so I grabbed this box and had at it.

I did the first batch like the box suggested — roll the chocolate dough into a ball. Roll the banana dough into a ball. Then roll the two balls together and flatten for the cookie.

However, while that was baking, I decided to do something different. I rolled the remaining chocolate dough into a flat sheet. I did the same for the remaining banana dough. I placed the banana dough on top of the chocolate, rolled them up together in a piece of wax paper and put them into the freezer. Voila! Pinwheel cookies!

By the way, there were delicious!
