There are several ways that you can use photography to help support and express your brand. Here are a couple of tips for using and creating photo images for your creative business.
What types of photo images do you use on your website and in your marketing materials? Is there a running theme? Is there a color emphasis? For example, I worked for a financial institution once that not only used only black and white photography but always gave it a blue tint. Another company I know always made the photographs they used more intense with color. Yet another organization always used images of forests and water. What theme do you want to run through all the photographs you use to communicate your brand?
Once you’ve taken a new set of headshots, be sure to propagate its use throughout your online presence. Make sure your social media profiles use the same image as your website. Also, during the photo session, make sure the poses you take reflect your brand. Arms crossed is very typical of business owners, but if your business is more creative, that might be a disconnect.
