31 Days of Celebrating You

31 days of celebrating you

Last year, I did an experiment and spent the entire month of August celebrating my birthday (its on the 26th). At the end of each day, I wrote down at least one thing that celebrated me in some way … and had an amazing, transformative experience.

This year I’m doing it again and I invite you to join me on the journey. I’m going to share my daily celebrations with you tomorrow through Sept. 1. It is my hope that in doing this, several things will emerge:

  1. You will get to see that what I’ve been sharing with you really works. I’ve talked about this celebration exercise several times on this blog and I will be sharing not only my celebrations, but the side effects of them, as well.
  2. I will be a role model for this transformative work. You’ll be able to see how it is done and understand better how to use it in your own life.
  3. I will inspire you to join me and write down your celebrations this month. Whether you choose to do that privately in a journal or by posting comments on this blog doesn’t matter. What matters is that you take five to 15 minutes at the end of each day to truly celebrate what is brilliant, radiant and uniquely wonderful about you.

If you choose to join me, please post a comment with your declared commitment below. Celebrating together is so much better than celebrating alone.

I love this idea. I think that we all have a tendency to love and support others openly. And when it comes to us we get bashful. We don’t want to be self absorbed or bragging. I am on board with this. Although….I may need a reminder as this is not something that I am used to doing.

    Cheers!

Great to have you on board, Lisa! To help you remember to do the exercise, I’ve created a special RSS feed for these posts only. You can subscribe to them by email here.

I’m in too. With all of this stepping out of my comfort zone I’ve got going on lately, I could use some warm fuzzy self validation. 🙂
